Coach Marion B. Crosby (Email)
Swimming is a progression. Students enroll with different mind sets and various goals. Most students either want to learn to swim or lose weight. Other swimmers believe swimming is easy or fun. Some join because of friends that are in swimming. A few sign up for varsity swim team because they have competitive swimming experience and want to continue developing their technique.
The Aldine Senior High School Swim Team welcomes all students with varying levels of swimming development. They teaching progression begins where ever the student's swimming ability and technique exist. The Aldine Senior High School Swim Teams' goal is to develop non-swimmers into competitive swimmers over time.
Our more advanced swimmers have the additional opportunities to become life guards and/ or water safety instructors. Upon completion of the requirements to become a life guard and/or WSI, Coach Crosby assists the swimmers in finding summer jobs.
