AHS Vaqueras at Regional Competition 2023
Congratulations to the award-winning Vaquera dance team and coaching staff for a great showing at Regional competition with MDDT Texas. The award-winning Aldine High School “Vaqueras” dance team competed in Regional competition on Saturday, February 18th at Klein Forest High School.
The Vaqueras, led by Gisela Rosales-Toups did an amazing job! The dance team brought home several awards including sweepstakes, choreography, officer awards, and solo awards detailed below:
Best In Category: (1st Place in our division) Military, Contemporary, and Pom
Officer Best In Category: Officer Jazz
Leadership Best in Category: Jazz (Winner)
Best In Class: (1st Place overall) Military Officers and Team- (ALL ROUTINES)
KAY-TEE Sweepstakes: (a score of 95 and above from all judges) Team and Military Officers
Sweepstakes: (a score of 94 and above from all judges) Military Officers, Leadership Officers and Team
Best Overall: TEAM and MILITARY OFFICERS
Choreography Award: Officers – Pom, Jazz and Contemporary

1 Senior Soloist: Kimberly Guerrero- Won top 5 soloist and 4th place overall.
